A flare or vent stack is an important piece of safety equipment used in oil and gas facilities to burn off the unusable, flammable gas released during a variety of process situations. It helps to protect the facilities when emergency shutdown events occur. Flare stacks can be portable or permanently mounted and equipped with pilot monitoring systems.
