Furthermore, these dedicated shops contribute the following to the pipe coating process:
- Sandblasting– cleaning of pipe and metal surfaces; removal of any and all impurities to ensure a good coating bond
- Above Ground Coating– protection of pipe, pressure vessels, equipment, and structural assemblies for better durability and performance
- Under-Ground Coating– external coating of the pipe and structural assemblies to prevent corrosion
Aspire’s abilities for the application of industrial pipe/pipeline coating materials include above-ground coatings and below-ground coatings. These applications are performed in accordance with requirements established by The Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) for above-ground coating and the CSA Standard Z245.30 specifications for below-ground coating by NACE-certified applicators. (NACE International is the organization that sets the standards for the commercial sandblasting and protective coatings industries in order to protect people, assets, and the environment from the adverse effects of corrosion).
